Embrace the Experience
This is a club that no one wants to join. It’s a tough place to be. However, before my first chemo treatment, my oncologist gave me some great advice. She encouraged me to keep my eyes wide open during this time. She even said, “Don’t miss this.” I wanted to close my eyes and wake up when it was all over. She had a different perspective. She knew that I would experience something that could make my life better. Something that could make me better. It is hard but God’s mercies are all around. This experience gives you an opportunity to see things you may not have noticed before.
Embrace the experience.
God bless!

This is so true. The bad part is that it’s a hard concept to understand until you’re actually experiencing it yourself. I remember hearing the phrase ‘the blessing of cancer’ when I was first diagnosed and it would stop me short and I would think that’s the craziest thing I’d ever heard. But how true it turned out to be. I hope you have a beautifully blessed day.

It mirrors so many of the teachings of Jesus… The last will be first…when you are weak, I am strong,.. More blessed to give than to receive… You have to die, to be able to live… What is seen is temporary but what is unseen is eternal. I could keep going… So thankful for a God who loves us so much! God bless!

Our life is a series of moments. Learning to live in them and embrace them, even through the pain, is a huge step. Thank you for sharing all that God has been teaching you.
