Kalimera! (Good Morning)
It is Sunday morning and we are getting ready to head to Athens for free time to shop and explore in the plakka before church this evening with the local congregation.
Yesterday, we were able to tour the ancient city of Delphi. Home of the temple of Apollo and the famous oracle of the woman, Pythia. We also saw the arena where they held the Pythian games. The museum contains a written stone that has the name of Gallio, pro counsel of Achai that helps us to date for certain Paul’s time in Corinth. Delphi is located high up in the mountains and the views were incredible!
We gave the students money to find lunch in a quaint mountain town that is a winter ski resort. This was a highlight of the day!
