What do we do to help someone who is down? Do you cheer them up or do you cry with them?
I think every situation is different and you have to pray for godly wisdom, but consider what Solomon says in Proverbs 25:2o:
“Like one who takes away a garment in cold weather. And like vinegar on soda, is one who sings songs to a heavy heart.”
I think we need to be careful when we approach someone who is discouraged and down. We don’t want to take away their ‘garment in cold weather.’
Last week, my mom was our guest speaker in Wednesday night class. I was so proud of her. She did a great job.
She didn’t get through what she wanted to share, so she is coming back on Feb. 11 to finish. If you missed it, we would love for you to come be a part of part 2.
In talking about her life, one thing she mentioned was that we live life forward, but we understand life backward. Looking back on life allows for understanding that escapes us looking forward.
